SOTCOT Presentation
The Tunisian Society of Orthopedic & Traumatological Surgery, SOTCOT, was founded in 1985. SOTCOT is a learned society whose objectives are to strengthen the links between orthopedic surgeons, contribute to the scientific and technical progress of its members in orthopedic surgery, work research in this field and finally to defend the moral and professional interests of its members.
The headquarters of the company is at the residence El Ahmadi II, New medina 3, Ben Arous, Tunisia.
SOTCOT is made up of full members, orthopedic surgeons of Tunisian nationality up to date with their dues, and associate members, doctors of medicine of Tunisian nationality or foreigners whose work and scientific orientation can contribute to the progress of orthopedic and traumatological surgery.
SOTCOT is represented by a board of directors elected by universal suffrage for a two-year term. The company organizes congresses, training courses and all scientific events aimed at promoting orthopedics and scientific research in the field of the musculoskeletal system.
SOTCOT has privileged links with orthopedic societies in the Maghreb, Algeria (SACOT), Morocco (SMACOT), and the whole of the Maghreb (FEMCOT), Africa (SAFO), the Middle East and the Arab world, but also with Europe and especially France (SOFCOT, SFA). Tunisia being a member of the Francophonie, SOTCOT is an active member of the AOLF. SOTCOT, a global society, open to the world, bilingual in French and English, is a member of SICOT.
